Understanding the Basics of Christian Faith
Believers who believe in Jesus Christ are more than those who believe in Islam. It started in Israel about two thousand years ago. He was a child that was born into a Jewish family who has religious roots in Judaism.
Most people celebrate in the world remember the birth of Jesus every year. Though Christmas is celebrated as the day that Jesus was born, it may not be the exact day.
Christ came into the world as God incarnate. Christ left heaven and came to this sin-filled earth to accomplish one purpose. God has a desire to reconcile with man through the forgiveness of sins. Sacrificing animals was a practice that was done many times many years to atone for the sins of man. It was in the design of the loving creator to free man from the burden of sin. His compassion led him to give his only son to die on the cross. Now, humanity must admit they are sinners from birth and they deserve a savior. It is important to understand that no matter what man he cannot makes himself pure as Gods standards are very high. Christians become sons of the highest God when they are forgiven sins through the blood of Christ.
Christian believers behold a personal bond with their maker which makes their religion different from others. Christians believe that when they go through hard times, God uses it to refine their character. Christians are encouraged to demonstrate selfless love towards every person on earth.
Christians attend church on Sundays. Going to church is important to every Christian. Through encouragement by the preachers, Christians are encouraged to face difficult situations with courage, and therefore those that attend church regularly have an improved blood pressure. People have come up with assemblies that have different doctrines that guide their teaching.
Among the assistants that Jesus had chosen to walk him in his ministry journey was Judas who was the treasurer in this ministry. Judas was a corrupt disciple of Jesus. Due to his love of money, he conspired with the Jewish leaders and betrayed Jesus for thirty shekels of silver. Jews came about with false accusations which led to the crucifixion of Jesus.
Those who confessed their faith in Christ were inhumanely tortured. Persecutions did not dampen their faith in Christ but it made them reach more people to believe in Christ. You will discover more if you research that Christians are still being oppressed for their faith even in this century. Despite the intense suffering caused by those who want to suppress Christianity in China, believers have continued to learn more about Jesus Christ and have thereby increased tremendously. Its growth has continued to surpass many religions by a huge margin in that nation.
